Jiandu Museum: Changsha Jiandu Museum is currently the world's only modern thematic museum which collects, protects, repairs, researches and exhibits bamboo slips, as well as an important cultural attractions in Changsha. The Jiandu Museum covers an area of 30 acres and the main building has an area of 14,100 square meters, of which 6000 square meters is the exhibition hall and warehouse area of 3,000 square meters.

Yuelu Academy: Yuelu Academy, one of the four greatest academies in ancient China, is situated at the foot of Yuelu Mountain and on the west bank of the Xiang River. It was one of the four ancient Chinese academies and well known for some of China’s great scholars, poets, philosophers and political leaders.

Yuelu Mountain: Yuelu Mountain gathers together the essence of Xiang and Chu culture. Numerous scenic spots and historical sites are in this mountain, it is also a good place for local people to hike and rest.

Orange Island: Orange Island is known as Orange Sandbar in Chinese. It is one of the sandbars located in the lower reaches of the Xiang River, covering a total area of 70hm square. Orange Island faces Yuelu Mountain to the west and borders Changsha city to the east. It is surrounded by water on all sides and stretches 16 kilometers long.

Huangxing Walking Street: As with most any Chinese city, Changsha has a walking street. The front of Huangxing Walking Street sprouts from Jiefang Road and stretches south to Chengnan Road. In many ways the center of the city revolves around walking street. There is shopping, snacks, a concert stage at the center square, throngs of people and always something interesting to gawk at.
