Mosques in Hangzhou
The historic Hangzhou was a majorly significant city on the route of the Silk Road. It is recorded that Arab traders settled in Hangzhou in the Song Dynasty. The Phoenix mosque is the only mosque in Hangzhou. It was built in the Tang dynasty but was destroyed. In 1281 it was reconstructed and over the next few centuries it continued to be expanded.
