Urumqi Shaanxi Mosque

Located in Yonghezheng alley,Heping road of Urumqi, Shanxi mosque is the largest mosque in Urumqi with hundreds of people come to pray everyday. During the Eid al-Fitr and Corban festival every year,there are thousands of Muslims come to Shanxi mosque to celebrate the festivals.

The main hall is in the front courtyard of the mosque.With 10 meters high, the mosque build in traditional post and panel structure, resembling the ancient Chinese palaces style.The gate is 20 meters high and in spatial grid structure.There are woodcarving and the fiberglass carving totems of the stone statues which symbolizes the cultural perfection of the 49 Asian countries in the Asian Center Square.
