There is endless Gongju (Florists Chrysanthemum), dazzling white as snow in a normal village of ancient Huizhou.
The Florists chrysanthemum here is generally planted in the tea garden, a row of green tea and then a row Chrysanthemum, again a row of green tea and then a row Chrysanthemum ... from the peak to valley. The local people are busy picking fresh chrysanthemum with dew early in the morning, facing the sunshine. Of course, I joined and picked chrysanthemum with them!
Experiencing a whole morning of labor, I didn’t feel tried. But I know that they must be very hard, because they have to pick from early morning to late night, without a rest.
They said that the most uncomfortable time to pick chrysanthemum is winter, when frost and icy.
While picking chrysanthemum during the day, they have to dry chrysanthemum at night. Because the chrysanthemum will be not good look if in sun dry, they generally drying over a fire for beautiful color of the chrysanthemum.
The next day, at dawn, the village auditorium was full of people, the chrysanthemum market was getting bustle.

The local people generally dry the chrysanthemum over a fire, and turn over once every few hours. The dry time is generally more than ten hours, so in full bloom prosperous season, every household brightly lit through the night without sleep.
