Enjoy Xiamen's Wonderful Food, Views and Accommodation

4/13/2016 CiCi Tours Xiamen 3831

I believe that a wonderful trip needs great preparations. So my friends and I collected lots of information about trips to Xiamen before we set off. We paid more attention to the accommodation, transportation and food. Because our trip was in August, the peak traveling season, we spent a large sum of money on accommodation. But we really had fun and learned a lot from the travel experience . Therefore, on the occasion, it may be wiser to book a room several days earlier, and keep your accommodation for as long as you plan to stay as housekeepers are much more fond of travelers who stay for a longer period of time. They will keep you there with a much cheaper room rate.

Our 5 Day Xiamen Trip

Day 1(Aug.23): Take high-speed train from Shenzhen North Station to Xiamen Station.
During the train journey, we  appreciated the beautiful views when we crossed Jieyang Station. We arrived in Xiamen at about 8:00PM, then we took a bus to Zhongshan Street, which is the  center of Xiamen and you can enjoy the gorgeous nightlife. So after our unpacking  at the youth hostel we booked, we went out and wandered the street to have  dinner.

Day 2(Aug.24): Zhongshan Street, Hulishan Fortress, South Putuo Temple

After getting up early in  the morning, we set off to Hulishan Fortress and South Putuo Temple after breakfast.  According to our itinerary, we should have visited Xiamen University in the  afternoon of that day. There were so many people lining up, so we didn’t get  the permission. (Tips: Xiamen University has a limitation on the number of  visitors.)We had to change our itinerary to South Putuo Temple, another site  near the University.
