Enchanted Tuvas Village in Xinjiang

6/25/2014 Young Sights Xinjiang 3684
Tuvas Village is located at the Kanas valley area that is to the south of 2-3 kilometers of the mysterious Kanas Lake. There was an expansive view of the surrounding area with forest-clad mountains and limpid streams, there is picturesque scenery, there are also honest and kindhearted villagers. Tuvas Village is the necessary travelling way from Burqin County to Kanas Lake.

Tuvas people are members of one of the most ancient ethnic groups in our country, who mainly engaged in hunting, grazing animals and moving about in quest of pasture. Over the past four centuries, the Tuvas people had taken up their residence in the Kanas Lake. They showed great courage and doughty personality. They had a genius for feats of horsemanship and skiing, who were equally renowned for their singing and dancing. Yet the original basic lifestyle had been passed through the years.

The wooden huts built of logs were spread randomly through the Tuvas Village. Here you could view the bridges over flowing streams and the corkscrew of smoke issuing from the kitchen chimneys, you could also be able to enjoy the air that was heavy with the aroma of the famous eggnog. The splendid view of primitive simplicity in the village looked almost like Kanas Lake full of mysterious harmony.

Tuvas people have preserved their peculiar lifestyle habits and maintained the languages of their own heritage. The Tuvas language was a family of Altaic language spoken in Xinjiang and was similar to the Turkic language. Because of this, all of the Tuvas people were able to speak Kazakh, which is quite a bit different from the modern Mongolian language.

When it now comes to the habits of life, apart from celebrating the Mongolian traditional Aobao Festival, they also spend an occasion of the local Lugu Festival. In addition, the Tuvas people also observed the Spring Festival and celebrated it as with the Han people. It's said that most of the Tuvas people believed in Tibetan Buddhism. Yet Saman also had a profound effect on them.

The log cabins in the village were built of wood with a square main body on the base and pinnacle structures on the top. A good deal of art had been manifested in these kinds of buildings of the timber. They still lived in Mongolian yurts when they were grazing animals.

Tuvas Village and Kanas Lake had brought out the best in each other as they blend into a unity in a harmonious way. They had especially formed various cultural sights in the Kanas tourist area with distinctive charming that combined with the dense nationality amorous feelings which attracted thousands of tourist all over the world.

The hatched pointed wooden huts in Swiss style reflected the slightest warm golden light, glowing now with reflected gold. Behind the back of Tuvas Village was the Freindship Peak on the border between China and Russia. The wind of Siberian blew from the Freindship Peak suddenly got warmer as with the lowering terrain, which finally gave birth to the thick mountain forest.
