Best Time to Visit

Jiuzhaigou is suitable to tour all year round as the scenery changes with the seasons. Summer is the rain season which will perhaps affect your tour. Winter is great for seeing the amazing frozen winter wonderland of Jiuzhaigou but you won't be able to see the colors of the lakes. The best season to see the colorful change of the forests and the bright turquoise lakes is from June till October. The months to avoid visiting are during the national holidays in May and golden week in October.

Although Jiuzhaigou is located near the Tibetan Plateau there are numerous Halal restaurants for Muslim tourists so there is no need to worry about finding suitable dining options. The Halal restaurants at Jiuzhaigou mainly serve beef dishes, hotpot and Lanzhou Noodles.
