Best Time to Visit Zhangjiajie
The best time to tour Zhangjiajie is during April and October when weather is not too hot or cold. We suggest staying for at least two days so you have enough time to tour all the major attractions of the Zhangjiajie Forest Park. However, we advise that you should not visit during the National Holiday (Oct. 1-7) and school holidays (July-Aug.) as the park is overly crowded.

Summer is great as there is plentiful sunshine also weather is not extremely hot. Though be prepared for the temperature difference between night and day as temperatures are much cooler during the night.

Autumn is cooler with an average temperature of 20 degrees. The majority of Zhangjiajie National Park is evergreen so you can still get great views of the amazing scenery.

Winter is cold with an average temperature of 4 degrees. Despite the cold you will be able to capture the magical frost and snow scenery of the park.
