3.Mount Everest in Tibet
Mt. Everest, also known as Mt. Qomolangma, is the highest peak in the world with an altitude of 8,848 meters above the sea level. Mt. Everest is located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas, border of Tibet and Nepal. The north side of Mt. Everest belongs to China and the south side of the peak belongs to Nepal. The peak has very harsh climate condition. The lowest temperature on the peak is 30-40 degrees below zero. Wind is very strong and oxygen is very thin in the peak. Despite of the inherent dangers of altitude sickness, weather, wind and hazards from avalanches, Mt. Everest attracts many experienced mountaineers and novice climbers to challenge even though they have to pay substantial money to professional mountain guides in order to complete a successful and safe climb. As a hot tourist destination for mountaineering, hiking, camping and photography, Mt. Everest has become a popular tourist site to visit for tourists travel to Tibet.
4.Meili Snow Mountain in Yunnan Province
Meili Snow Mountain, with its beauty and sanity, is a hot tourist destination for tourists traveling to Yunnan. It is located in the border between Deqing County in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan and Zayu County in Tibet. The mountain lies in the middle ranges of Hengduan Mountains, Jinsha River, Nujiang River and Langcang River. Meili Snow Mountain is the holy pilgrimage land for Tibetan Buddhism. Meili Snow Mountain has a series of snow mountains. There are 13 peaks whose average elevations are more than 6,000 meters above the sea level. The main peak of Meili Snow Mountain, Kawaboge Peak, has an elevation of 6,740 meters high above the sea level and is the highest peak in Yunnan Province.
5.Mount Huang in Anhui Province
Mount Huang or Yellow Mountain is one of the most beautiful mountains in China and also one of the ten most famous scenic spots in China. Mount Huang is located about 80 kilometers north of Huangshan City which is in the south of Anhui Province. As one of the most renowned tourist destinations and an UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mt. Huangshan has drawn numerous tourists for its enchanting scenery. Characterized with alluring scenery, beautiful sunsets and sunrises, peculiarly shaped granite peaks, Mt. Huangshan Pine trees, hot springs, winter snow, and views of the clouds, Mt. Huangshan is bestowed with rich sites to appreciate as well as spectaculars for photography.
6.Three Holy Mountains in Daocheng of Sichuan Province
The Three Sacred Mountains are located in Daocheng of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. The three mountains are high and steep, standing in Daocheng like sharp swords directly into the blue sky. These three magnificent mountains are sacred to Tibetan Buddhism and are surprisingly snow capped all the year around. The main Peak is known as Xiannairi and has an elevation of 6,032 meters and is one of Daocheng’s highest mountain peaks. The southern peak, Yangmaiyong has an altitude of 5,958 meters and is praised as the most beautiful snow mountain. The third peak is Xianuoduoji, which is also the eastern peak.
