1) Hong Kong Skyline

First and foremost, if you do nothing else during your trip, you have to see the iconic Hong Kong skyline at least! There are many ways you can enjoy the view, but the best is at night. There are many vantage points where you can see the skyline, the most popular are the at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, Golden Bauhinia Square or by the Star Ferry harbor cruises. There is also a light show called “A Symphony of Lights” that start 8 pm daily, which last around 13 minutes. It is the world’s largest permanent light and sound show, and the best part is it’s completely free!
2) Victoria Peak
Hong Kong is all about the views. Another great place to see the cluster of high-rises on this small island it at the Victoria peak. It’s a mountain in the western half of Hong Kong island known as Mount Austin. As the highest mountain in Hong Kong island, it gives visitors a great view over central Hong Kong, Victoria Harbor, Lamma Island and the surrounding islands. You can either hike to the top or take the peak tram which is the quickest and most scenic way to get to the peak. At the Peak Tower not only can you enjoy the observation deck, but here is also where the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is located!
3) Ocean Park

Ocean Park Hong Kong is one of the best places to visit with a family. It was the first Asian winner of the biannual applause award, which is the most prestigious award in the amusement and theme park industry. From sharks to polar bears to even koalas! There’s no end to what you can see and learn in ocean park. You can also visit a replication of old Hong Kong to learn about the unique culture in the 1950s to 1970s.
4) Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland is one of the 12 Disney Parks that exist throughout the world. 5) Lantau Island

Lantau Island is the largest island in Hong Kong, and although it is almost twice as large as Hong Kong island, it doesn't have an overflow of high rises like on Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. This is due to the mountainous terrain and indigenous forest. On this island, you can take the Ngong Ping 360 tram to see breathtaking views of the mountains and coast, visit the tranquil Big Buddha and Pol Lin Monastery, and much much more!
6) Lamma Island
The 3rd largest island in Hong Kong is Lamma Island. What truly sets this island apart is the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere compared to the rest of Hong Kong. This is because buildings higher than three stories are prohibited on Lamma Island, there are also no automobiles allowed but government vehicles like fire trucks, ambulances and open back vehicles to transport construction materials. This means that transportation here is only available by foot or bicycle. It's a haven for the young artists and musicians!
7) Street Markets

Street markets are one of the places to actually enjoy Hong kong’s local culture and live like a local. You can buy electronics, local souvenirs, eat great food, and practice your haggling skills. There are many street markets in Hong Kong, but some of the best are Temple Street, Ladies Market, Ap Liu Street, Lascar Row, and Stanley market. There's bound to be something you’ll want to buy, but just watch out for fakes and always bargain!
8) Hong Kong Museum of History
If you want to learn about Hong Kong’s history and cultural heritage than Hong Kong Museum of History is the place to go. The museum encompasses natural history, archaeology, ethnography and local history. You can enjoy the permanent free exhibition “The Hong Kong Story” or visit the special exhibitions.
9) Wong Tai Sin Temple

Dedicated to the famous Chinese Taoist deity, Wong Tai Sin, this shrine is famed for the many prayers it answers via a practice call Kau Cim, So no question this is a major tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It's located on the north side of Kowloon island. It’s scenic location, and ornamented buildings make it a great place to visit for a spiritual experience.
10) Dragon’s Back
There are many great hiking trails in Hong Kong, but the Dragon's back trail is one of the most popular and most scenic. Walk along the 8.5 km trail to beautiful coastal scenery and lush greenery. It's a great and easy escape from the bustling city. From the trail, you will get a stunning view of Shek O, Tai Long Wan, Tai Tam, and the South China Sea. Although relatively long the trail is well trekked and can take on average 4 hours to complete.
