The Yonghe Lama Temple is located in Dongcheng district of Beijing inner city, which is the city's largest Tibetan buddhist temple and determined by the state council national the key temple of Buddhism in the Han nationality area in 1983. This temple is mainly composed of three delicate arches and five grand halls covering an area of 66400 square meters. It is constructed in the Qing Danasty more than 300 years ago. If you have a belief in the Buddhism or you are intertested in it, you may choose to come to Yonghe Lama Temple.

The first recommended reason is that it is the largest Lama Temple not lonely in Beijing but also in the north China. There are many typical Buddhist architectures in the Yonghe Lama Temple. From the layout of those palaces to the pictures drawn on the wall, you can experience the particular Buddhist culture. Even the road you choose to hang around the temple does matter, you must return in a different road when you come out with that way you go in. Since in the Buddhist philosophy, a person cannot go back in the same way because it is the human being’s destiny to experience different life. Therefore, you may remind your friends this when you are visiting the temple.

The second recommended reason is why many people choose to come here. There is a story about the Yonghe Lama Temple has some kind of supernatural power blessing the wishes people make here come true. Actually many people indeed make their dreams come true after making wishes in the Yonghe Lama Temple. Then the message spread from one to one bringing so many tourists here. As for me, it works too. Some years ago, I need a high IELTS score to apply a great school in Holland, then I make a wish here to get a high score of 7.5, you know what, after half a year, my dream score become reality. Maybe there is some miraculous power in this temple as people say. But I need to remind you that if your wishes come true, don’t be happy too early since you must back to the temple to thank the gods for his help. Otherwise, next time you will not be so lucky.

Another reason to go to the Yonghe Lama Temple is the great location of it. Since the Yonghe Lama Temple is located in the inner city of Beijing, which is very near the Forbidden City and other famous scenic spots of Beijing, you can have convenient traffic approaching any other places after visiting the Yonghe Lama Temple. You may go to Houhai or Jingshan Park, for instance after the Yonghe Lama Temple.

Some tips, there are crowd of visitors in holiday, it is better for you to avoid it. And there are many types of incense bought outside the temple, which is much cheaper that those sold in the temple. So prepare in advance, and then you will have a perfect journey.
